I am a GP, GP supervisor and director of Top End Medical Services in Casuarina, NT, and a member of the Top End Clinical Council of the NT Primary Health Network.  I am passionate about migrant and refugee health and am one of the first GP prescribers of ASHM's Hep B S100 program.  

Stuart is a sexual health physician in private practice on Queensland's Gold Coast. His interests are in STIs, HIV medicine, infectious diseases epidemiology and gender medicine. He is a senior lecturer at Griffith University, and medical educator at True Relationships and Sexual Health (formerly Family Planning Queensland). 

Rasanga is the Advanced Trainee in Sexual Health at Short Street Centre Sexual Health Clinic (St George Hospital) in Kogarah, NSW. She is a Sexual Health Physician from Sri Lanka with over 9 years’ experience and will be presenting her latest research on ‘nPEP knowledge among MSM’ at EACS 2015.

Julian Langton-Lockton is a sexual health physician working as a research fellow / advanced trainee in sexual health medicine at Western Sydney Sexual Health since February 2014.

His current role at WSSHC involves clinical outpatient sexual health and HIV care; research including the SPANC study where he is currently undergoing training in anoscopy; teaching on the Masters program for HIV, STIs and sexual health, and medical students at the University of Sydney.

Julian completed his specialist training in sexual health and HIV medicine in the UK and has worked as a consultant physician in HIV and Sexual health in the UK (Manchester, London and Birmingham).  In addition to his sexual health training, he has 2 years of Infectious Diseases and 2 years of General Medicine at advanced trainee level.

His specialist work has involved delivery of HIV care for acute inpatients and outpatients.

Throughout his career, Julian has been actively involved in teaching general practitioners, hospital doctors, allied health workers and medical students.

His interest includes teaching on HIV and sexual health to diverse audiences; HIV and sexual health clinical care; and development of programs that will benefit CALD domestic and international communities and hard to engage marginalised communities within Australia.

I am an Australian infectious disease registrar working over in HIV in Dili, East Timor. Timor remains a low prevelence country, however in recent years incidence has steadily risen. Here I am part of a team caring for half of the patients in the country on treatment. Work here has been challenging with limited resources, an unreliable supply chain and Significant administrative hurdles. I hope to eventually return to Australia and complete infectious disease training.

Sue Baglow is a GP working with refugees at Companion House and in private practice in Canberra. She has recently been involved in setting up a nurse-led hepatitis clinic at Companion House to help ensure continuity of monitoring and treatment compliance in a population with many co-morbidities and psychosocial problems.

Lauren Finlay is a recently fellowed GP working for Apunipima Cape York Health Council in Napranum, a remote Aboriginal community with a population of 1000 people in Cape York. Lauren has always had an interest in sexual health, completing her MHSSH at Sydney University in 2013.

Ric is a section 100 prescribing GP and has been working with patients with HIV since the beginning of the illness in Australia. He initiated and developed a sexual health clinic with Barwon Health in Geelong. He now works in General practice and in the prison system in Victoria.

Sean Slavin works in the Health Promotion Program of the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations and is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Research in Health at UNSW. He has a PhD in anthropology and has worked in HIV social science research and community based education and prevention for over 15 years. He is actively engaged in research into various aspects of living with and prevention of HIV including the role of treatments.

Rebecca completed her medical degree in Ireland and graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. She has worked in Australia since 2006 in various hospital positions, including Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as eight years as a registrar in Sexual Health Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital. She went on to do General Practice training,completing this in 2014. Rebecca has a particular interest in Sexual health, Women’s health and contraception.

I am a full time GP at an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Centre. We have a large volume of patients with Hepatitis C and hence my keen interest to learn more about managing this problem.

Niveditha Manokaran is a Sexual Health Registrar working at Clinic 16,Royal North Shore Hospital for the last 5 years. She is currently also a GP registrar under training. She has a Diploma in Dermatology and Sexual Health from India and has been working in this area since 2010. She is a S100 prescriber. She is also trained in sexual and reproductive health from Family planning NSW and is also trained to do IUDs from FPA-NSW. Her special interests are HIV care and management, Women's health and Dermatology.

Trent is an infectious diseases physician at Cairns Hospital, where he is responsible for the antimicrobial stewardship program. He also sees patients at the Cairns Sexual Health clinic where he has an interest in managing HIV+ patients with medical comorbidities.  Trent is undertaking post-fellowship training in public health medicine as part of the communicable disease control team at Tropical Public Health Services (Cairns).  His current research is on Group A Streptococcal skin diseases, and medical staff attitudes towards antibiotic prescribing and antibiotic resistance. His other clinical interests are infection control in healthcare settings and in communicable disease epidemiology.

Trent is an adjunct Senior Lecturer with the James Cook University School of Medicine & Dentistry, and an Associate Lecturer with the University of Queensland Rural Clinical School.  He has two children and is a member of the JCU Fencing Squad.

Sonja Hill is a Senior Project Officer at ASHM working primarily on the hepatitis C education and prescriber program. She has also coordinated hepatitis C training for non-liver specialist physicians in Indonesia and Malaysia. Her interests include the development of resources and online modules in the area of hepatitis C. 

Currently in the Rural GP Program of Tasmania and member of RACGP. Interested in Sexual and reproductive health, including HIV and Viral Hepatitis. Recently, completed both HIV and Hep B Prescriber Program and very keen to practice and help in the rural community of North West Tasmania.

Belinda is a Rural Medical Practitioner and Public Health Registrar who is currently working on a project to improve the cascade of care for Indigenous people with chronic hepatitis B infection living in remote communities of central Australia. She has also worked in the prison system and is keen to improve the management of viral hepatitis in that setting.

I am an advanced trainee in Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology, currently working in Royal Perth Hospital in the HIV/Immunology service.  I previously worked in the diagnostic HIV laboratory at St Vincent’s Hospital (Sydney).  Looking forward to being involved in my first ASHM conference.

Michelle O'Connor

Craig Rodgers has been a General Practitioner at East Sydney Doctors in Darlinghurst since 2002. He commenced his involvement in the treatment of HIV/AIDS as a HIV registrar at the Albion Street Centre in 1997 and has continued his work in this area both in General Practice and at the Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) in Kings Cross, where he has worked as an Addiction Medicine Specialist and Medical Unit Manager. Apart from HIV, his other medical interests include Mental Health, Sexual Health, Hepatitis C, and the treatment of drug dependence. He regularly contributes to education programs run by the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine (ASHM), and has also been on the council of the Australasian Professional Society for Alcohol and Other Drugs (APSAD) since 2007, currently as Treasurer.

I'm a registered nurse with over 10 years nursing experience. I've worked in the UK, Singapore and Australia in the transplantation setting, Emergency Care and now HIV and Sexual Health.
